Description
As Spring continues to SPROING here in the Vancouver Area it is soooooo nice to have a sunny day to photograph some of the wee flowers that are bravely popping their heads up all over town.I know that EVERYONE probably is tired of FLOWER PICTURES but I'll tell you this: after spending almost a 1/3 of the year in gray rainy BLAHness, I'm VERY HAPPY to see these little guys...
I used a wide open aperature for this shot so that only the center, or "feather duster" looking part of the flower was in focus. I used my mini tripod to get steady and get in close.
Hope it adds a little Vancouver Sunshine to your day!
*edit for Bougal
Camera: Canon Powershot Pro1
Lens: approx. 50mm (equiv) on SuperMacro
Shutter: approx. 1/40th
- on mini-tripod
- sec. self-timer release
- adjusted levels in PS

Good color, composition, but I would like to see a DOF wide enough to get at least some of the petals in focus.

Thank you for sharing! It helps me to know there's a light (and flowers) at the end of the tunnel.
I love the point of focus, but wish a tad bit more of the petals were not so blurred. I still love this though--colors are amazing!!
